The following explains how to transfer a session to another computer within the same group using the Move Session option in the Computers page. This feature ensures session continuity even if the destination PC is powered off, as it supports Wake-on-LAN to automatically turn the computer on when needed.
- On the Computers page, select the PC, then right-click on the computer from which you want to move the user session. From the menu, choose Session → Move Session. (Figure 1).
Figure 1
- Next, you can view the list of available PCs and select the target machine to move the session to. Only computers within the same PC group will be displayed in the list otherwise, they will not appear as available options. (Figure 2).
Figure 2
- If the selected computer is powered off but supports Wake-on-LAN, it will automatically turn on and continue the session transfer.
- However, session movement is only allowed within the same PC group. It is not possible to move sessions between different PC groups or from a PC group to a console.
- For example, if there are two PC groups (X and Y), a user from group X can only be moved to another PC within group X.
